Our Story
Born from a love of open flame and honest ingredients, Ember & Oak Kitchen brings the art of wood-fired cooking to Jacksonville's vibrant food scene.
Chef Marcus Holloway spent a decade traveling the American South, studying the deep traditions of live-fire cooking β from Texas smokehouses to Carolina oyster roasts. In 2019, he brought that passion home to Jacksonville, opening a space where the crackle of oak and the glow of ember set the tone for every dish.
Every plate tells a story of local farms, seasonal harvests, and the primal magic of cooking over flame. We partner with Northeast Florida's finest purveyors to bring you ingredients at their peak β transformed by fire, served with heart.
